1891 Census James, age 29, born U.S; Annie (wife) age 29, England, daughters Lily (4), Ruby (3) and Jennie (0) in Thorold Town.
Annied died Kamloops 1930, wife of Samuel Brooke at the time. James may have been son of James and Sarah (1871 Census, Clinton). Annie's maiden name Taylor. Looking for more information on James and Annie. Can not find marriage in Ontario Civil registry. James' occupation: bar tender. What was a "bar tender" in 1891? Next door neighbour was a "lock tender". Can not find death for James. Any help would be appreciated. Daughter Lily was my grandmother.

My Great Aunt Alberta Young by birth married Arthur Gordon Moore don't know exactly when or where, but my Young Family was in Thorold in 1891. Although Alberta was not in Thorold in 1891 she was living in Washington,DC from 1906 to 1914 she had a son born in DC in 1914 and later in 1914 returned to Thorold. Now if her husband had any brothers or sisters I don't know. My aunt died under the name of Holmes don't know if she was divorced or if he had died. Did James have any brothers by the name of Arthur Gordon?
