Seeking obituaries for Colonel Raymond Branson; died 15 Feb 1968 in Portland and his father, William Arthur Branson; died between 1920 and 1930 in Portland.

I looked in the McMinnville paper for both of these men but didn't find either one.

On the other hand, there are lengthy articles in the Portland papers in September, 1920, about William BRANSON of Yamhill county being pardoned by the Governor after being convicted of murder in 1916. There's not enough identifying information to tell if it is the same William BRANSON as yours.
