I saw on FamilySearch an entry for 1841 Census for William Bentley; age 2, Todmorden, Rochdale. It says to look on FindMyPast for image. On Ancestry I only find on that has William age 1. If anyone has sub. to FindMyPast, could you see if you can find entry and who it lists as parents?
Really would like to find my William.

Oh my gosh! thank you SO much! I think this is the piece that i needed to tie it all together! I knew his parents were supposed to be William and Mary, but the family I thought was his in 1851 has Sally (Solly) as wife and I just couldn't find that Mary had died and father william had remarried. I do have lots of posts out and I will keep looking. I am fairly new to this and am muddling through the process. Thanks so much again!!

Now that I have had time to settle down a bit. It is definitley the right family. It shows John and Martha as siblings like the 1841. It also shows there was an older sib James that I didn't know about. that will make a difference in the years I was looking for the marriage cert for parents. i will go back several more years. It confirms parents William and Mary that his death cert in NJ shows. I know my william ends up in Paterson, NJ around 1865. Will go back and see if his brothers were there first.

Lisa, if you want to look for Mary's death, Lancashirebmd shows age at death. If they have been transcribed of course.
