Surnames: Bieber,Beaver, DeBoe,

PHILLIP JACOB1 DEBOE was born in England1, and died August 1751 in Coventry Chester Co Pennsylvania. He married MARY MAGDALENA BIEBER November 12, 1734 in Coventry Chester Co Pennsylvania. The DEBOE family is believed to be of noble lineage in France, located in Alsace-Lorraine. Being French Huguenots, they eventually had to flee into Germany in the 17th century to escape persecution by the Catholic Church. They made their way to England. This migration was through Holland. Arrived in Philadelphia on Oct 17k 1732 aboard the pink, "John and William", from Rotterdam, first from Dover, England..
Children of PHILLIP DEBOE and MARY BIEBER are:
i. ABRAHAM2 DEBOE.
ii. JOHN CONRAD DEBOE, b. June 25, 1738.
May have migrated to the Shenandoah Valley in VA and westward from there.
iii. PHILLIP JACOB DEBOE II, b. 1740, Lancaster Co Pennsylvania; d. Abt. 1825, Pittsylvania Co Virginia.
I would appreciate any help with this line of my family,

Judy Lehman

Do you know what happened to Mary Magdalena Bieber after her husband died in 1751? Did she remarry?

One Bieber (Bever) family arrived in the United States on the "Ship Friendship" from Rotterdam, Holland (taking ship there from Hirschland, Germany) on Nov. 2, 1744. Christina Bever, Dorothy Bever and Jacob Bever were listed on the passenger list. Jacob and Christina were under 16 years of age, as the Pennsylvania Archives lists Jacob among the women. The father of this family evidently died on passage to America. No information has been found about Mary Magdalena Bieber.

Donna Mendelsohn says that another Bieber family migrated Oct 17 1732 to Philadelphis PA on pink "John and William". She told me about a book "History and Genealogy of the Bieber, Beaver, Biever, Beeber Family" by The Rev. I. M. Beaver, published in 1939. It is a major Bieber source if you have not seen a copy yet. Laurie said that she had tried searching thru the Bieber book it didn't show info on Mary Magdalena, though almost "every Bieber family" back then named their girls ??? Magdalena, or ??? Margaretha. She said that it pertains primarily to the Pennsylvania Biebers. Her Biebers immigrated through New Orleans to Indiana a century later, and may not be part of the same family at all.
