Re: ELLIOTT Fanny and William Uk to Australia
Do you think it is worth signing up for worldwide Ancestry? I have been told the information can be quite limited regarding immigrants from UK.? Am I hassling you this morning bombarding you with all my queries and questions ? Please do tell me to go away if I am annoying you ! :-) Claudia

Re: ELLIOTT Fanny and William Uk to Australia
Ab so lutly NO problems - its what I do... (must get a life!!)
I use 2 other sites + a stack of Cd's I have accumulated..
Most earlier passenger lists are VERY limited on info (on whence they came) - usually, a tad more on the arrivals (for that country - after all who cared who left but not the same on arrivals - Many just state Mr or Mrs or child or infant rather than showing given names
Also, there are still 100's or 1000's of lists still to be transcribed so.....
it works out quite expensive if you are only following a couple of families...
