Hello,

Can somebody please tell me what is the information given for No. 14, Christian Andersen (age 57 years), who died 18 Apr 1828 and was buried 2 May 1828? I do know that he was from Bragøen farm, but I can't read what comes before it -- ??mand?? Also, can you please tell me what the information in the last two columns means in English?

Here is the Digitalarkivet link:

Permanent sidelenke: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=16711&...

This was taken from Digitalarkivet, Nordland, Hadsel i Hadsel, 1820-1836, p. 212.

Tusen takk!

Sincerely,
Jan Mongoven

Stand, Haandtering og Opholdssted: Gaardmand fra Bragøen (Farm-owner from ...)

Headings for the last two columns:
Hvor anført i det almindelige jevnførelsesregister = Location in the ordinary ... Explanation: "Jevnførelsesregisteret" is a register at the back of the church book where all sacral acts concerning one person are cross referenced
Anmerkninger = Notes

Not sure of what the content says though, but the whole thing may be one note, as the register-column is blank for all the other deceased. Can you decipher any of it? My gut feeling tells me it may have been an accidental death.

Tusen takk, Nina. I also believe it might have been something accidental, since the columns are blank for most of the other men on the list. I greatly appreciate your replying to me.

Sincerely,
Jan
