I think that you might mean the Kirkee Military Cemetery as it is in that suburb of Pune. I visited the site yesterday and it is beautifully maintained by the CWGC. I am happy to send you some photo's I took and to photograph a particular grave if that is what you want.
I am an Aussie school teacher working here in Pune.

Are you able to access records held at St Patrick's?

Hello there. Yes I am still working in Pune and would be happy to find and photograph your ancestor's grave if it is in the Kirkee (Poona) Military cemetery. As there are over 1000 graves there I would appreciate some more details such as first name or initials and approximate date of death to track down the grave through the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Happy to do so but I need more details from you as there are over 1000 graves in the Kirkee (Poona) Military Cemetery. First names or initials and approximate date of death would be helpful and if they are there I will be happy to photograph the headstones and email them to you.

Thanks - will get back to you.

Can you confirm it is only military personnel buried there? Where would British people have been buried that lived over there?

Is St Patrick's still in use? Is it possible to look at the records there?

Thanks

Bex

Bex,

Yes Kirkee Military Cemetery only has graves from WWII and memorial tablets from WWI. St Patricks is still in use and I don't know about the records. I assume you mean Births, Deaths and Marriages. As yet I have not visited the church. There are some cemeteries in Pune but as to their condition I don't know. The Hindu's practise cremation so not many cemeteries exist, however I will find out what I can for you.
