Grenada:Family roots in the Grenaddines. Strong link with St. Vincent

I am currently researching my family ancestry in the Bequia, St. Vincent area. The particular names in my history are Wallace, and Ollivierre. My gggrandfather was Edward Ollivierre on my fathers side, and on my grandmothers side is my gggrandfather William"Old Bill"Thomas Wallace. If any of this connects I have extensive info on both sides, and I am eager to learn more...Thanks...Gerry

I have heard from my uncles that the Wallaces in St. Vincent are related to us. Athneil Ollivierre, the whaler is my Grandmother's nephew. I think they lived in a place in Bequia called Friendship. Please send me any information you have. Thanks VERY much!

Gerry, could you by any chance be someone I met some years ago with my aunt Verbena Ollivierre? We went to the registry here looking for information. I was supposed to briny (you) to meet Irwin Ollivierre, my cousin and son on an Edward Ollivierre but we somehow did not get to do that.
Anyway, My Grandmother was Bertina Ann Ollivierre, her mother was a 'Hazel' and her father was 'Stiffic' Ollivierre. She married Zachieus Cyprian Ollivierre (1898-1974) whose father was William Ollivierre. He was also Stiffic's brother (Those were the days). They were all from St.Vincent and the Grenadines.
I will ask my mother for more details. I have never taken genealogy seriously but do have a growing interest. My mother has protos (copies) of some of the ancestors.

I am researching my family roots from the St. Vincent and St. Lucia area. The names I am researching are Patrice and Coudray. My grandfather was James Alexander Patrice. His father's name was John. My understanding is that the family was involved in boat building. My grandfathers brother David Patrice was an officer on a cargo ship that was lost at sea sometime in the 1930's. My grandfathers 2nd cousin was Vincent Patrice who was a well known cricket player in St. Lucia around 1940. My grandfather left St. Lucia in 1906 and settled in the United States. It is my understanding that the Patice family was fairly large with relatives in St. Vincent, St. Lucia and other islands in the area. Any information regarding the Patrice family would be greatly appreciated.
