I posted this a few years ago and am hoping some new blood has come along who can answer my question!

My g-g-grandfather, Patrick Moore was born abt 1865 in Scotland. Both of his parents were from Ireland and their names were Thomas and Ellen/Helen. He came to the USA in 1885 and married Ellen McMahon in 1888. They had several children:

Thomas Francis (b. 1888 in Mineral Co WV or Garret Co MD - m. Lillian Schreiber in Kansas)
Bernard J (b. 1890 in MD)
William
James
Kathleen
Joseph
Robert
Harry

This family moved to Kansas and then to Troy, IL.

I am desperate to find a living relative of this family. I have all the information you can get from ancestry on this family except for an immigration record (there are SO many Patrick Moores) and naturalization record. The census says Patrick was naturalized in 1888 but Mineral Co doesn't seem to have naturalization records from that time.

If you have any tidbit of information, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!

Yes! That's them! I'm not exactly looking for more info (unless you can direct me to more info about Patrick's immigration), but I'm just looking for people who knew them or are related to them also. I would love to see pictures and get to know this elusive side of my family better. Tom is my great grandfather, Francis "Moose" being my grandfather, but I never got to know them because of situations before my birth. So I guess I'm just looking for someone who can tell me more about them personally.
