Whatever happened to young Virgil Hamilton?

I am looking for any information on virgil hamilton.

1920 census
madison illnois
charles hamilton 27 (my greatuncle)
maude wife 28
virgil son 4
charles son 1 *1/2
john (22) my grandfather

1930 census
madison illnois
maude hamilton (divorced)
virgil hamilton

Maude (Dupponcier, I believe) was the first wife of my great-uncle Charley Hamilton. Was told that she died and he remarried, however that has proven to be false. He remarried and Maude and Virgil dissappeared. I dont know if Virgil was Uncle Charles son or not but I know he was still caring the Hamilton name in 1930. Any information about Virgil or his mother would be greatly appreciated. Its just one of many family mysteries I am working on.

Thanks
Ron

Sorry I couldn't find anything on Virgil. But I found a
Maude Hamilton
Date if Death: 5-3-1931 Madison County Granite City..

Maybe if you try and get an obituary on her, that might lead to you find your Virgil.

Not related just trying to help....

Ron,
I will check either today or tomorrow for Maude's obit. I'm assuming (may not be correct) this could be the Virgil Hamilton your trying to gather info on.

SSDI:
Virgil P. Hamilton 25 Jan 1916 17 Oct 1987 Bethalto, Madison, Illinois

From the info below and the SSDI listing, I will check to see if a volunteer in the Alton area is still offering to do lookups and request the obit for Virgil P Hamilton.

Info from the Edwardsville Intelligencer newspaper (Edwardsville, IL) lists the following:

Thank you so much for taking time to check for his obit. I do believe this is his Virgil Hamilton from the info I found on Ancestry (Edwardsville Intelligencer) - the dates are such a good match.
Now I need to make it to the GC library for his mother's obit. I've been on Grandma duty most of the week:)
Thank you again!
