"Find a Grave" has transcriptions for both St. Joseph and Old St. Joseph Cemeteries in Wapakoneta. Does anyone know if these transcriptions are complete or partials? Would it be best to write to these cemeteries directly?
If so, can someone (Please!) give me the addresses for these cemeteries!
Many thanks for any help -
Patricia

The St. Joe Cemetery inscriptions at www.findagrave.com are partial and have more recent burials than older ones. You can contact the caretaker for the new cemetery at 419-738-4140. He may also have records for the old cemetery. Many of the burials from the old cemetery were re-interred after the new cemetery was opened. I've not looked for records through the church, but you might also contact the Parish office at 309 Perry Street, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895. The Parish office number is 419-738-2115. The Auglaize County Genealogical Society has also transcribed the stones and books can be purchased through Auglaize County Genealogical Society, PO 2021, Wapakoneta, Ohio, 45895. (burials are before 1982)

Another site that you might want to check is http://ohiogravestones.org/cemetery.php?cemID=1409. They only have a few graves for St Joe but some of the other cemeteries are better represented.
