I just bought two books at a yard sale: "North and South Carolina Marriage Records" by Clemens; and "Marriage Notices in The South-Carolina Gazette and its successors 1732-1801" by A.S. Salley, JR. Looking for a grandfather several times removed and I'm hoping to find him in the Walhalla area of SC. Have you ever heard of that area?

My ancestor is William B. Kelley/Kelly. He was born around 1762 in SC and that's all I know. He did end up in GA. with several children.

I see you are a Kelley, too. Who knows - we might accidently be kinfolk.
