Mecklenburg Co., N.C. In 1775 he was deeded land by his father. In 1804 James and his son, Thomas, sold the land. The 1790 census shows a household of 2 males over 16, 2 under 16, and 4 females. Also, interested in the other early McCalls of
Mecklenburg County including a somewhat older James
McCALL who lived on the Catawba River and in the 1780's is found across the line in
York Co., S.C.
