Harrisburg Cemetery question

I live in Georgia, but on Sunday will be passing through Harrisburg, and would like to try to find the grave of my great-great grandmother, who is buried in Harrisburg Cemetery, Section R lot 35. Will there be a map or something at the cemetery to help me locate it? I tried to call the cemetery but got a recording saying all questions needed to be in writing with a check for $35. I've searched online, and can't find any guidance. I'm afraid that since I will be there on a Sunday, there won't be anyone around to ask when I get there.

Linda,
Try contacting a few of the local(Harrisburg) funeral homes.
Ask them if they have a map of the cemetery layout.
Neills is on Walnut Street 717-737-8726
Coxs is on Derry St.717-564-2633
Hooper Memorial Home is on Walnut Street 717-651-1000.
Have a safe trip.

Wow, Great thread. I live in Harrisburg and have found a lot of information about the cemetery and even walk through it once a week as I work close by. I have stopped by the office and could have asked questions for you but with the map you are in great shape. There is marvelous history that can be found about this cemetery so if you have time dig it up, and be prepared for a great place to visit. Don't miss the special section of Civil War burials, and some graves will have a confederate flag on them.
Awesome, awesome, and more.
Have a safe trip, and if you see an old fart walking around wearing a cowboy hat--that would be me, Mike Schindler

I would like a copy of the map if you can send it too me. Look for my email in your inbox. I know they are working on a website, and even have a webcam panOramic view online for parts of the cemetery. Few blacks are buried there.
Notable Exception is Andrew M. Bradley.

I tried to attach the map to this post, but it will only take photos and gedcoms, and this is a pdf. So I will wait for your email, but I'm happy to send it.
