I'm trying to find ANY additional information on my great-great-great-grandfather.

All I know at this point, besides his name(s), is:

- he married Sarah "Sally" GAMBILL in Benton County, AR (±1842)
---> Elijah YARBERRY was Sarah's second husband
--------> 1st: Silas Elijah BRADSHAW (m. 4 OCT 1830)

- he fathered three children through his wife (Sarah):
---> James Wilson BRADSHAW (b. 25 JUL 1842 in Benton Co., AR)
---> William M. YARBERRY (b. 10 AUG 1844 in Benton Co., AR)
---> Silas Francis "Frank" YARBERRY (b. 9 FEB 1849 in Benton Co., AR)

I have a connection also with Elijah Yarberry. His son Samuel Francis (Frank) Yarberry would be my gr gr gr grandfather. His daughter Alice E. Yarberry Shipley married Cad Shipley and their son C. Wesley is my Great Grandfather. I am going to start researching more into the Yarberry lineage. I believe Elijah's first name was actually John. From family information, rumor has it that he had a bit of a drinking problem and Sarah left him. She felt guilty for leaving him so she went back to him. When she went back he was dead. This family is from midwest.

Elijah is such a mystery that I am not even sure where his family is originally from. May have been from Tennessee where his wife Sarah "Sally" was from or if she married him in Arkansas. She was previously married and I am not sure when Sarah moved to Arkansas.

Elijah was Elijah Bradshaw Grandma Sarah's first husband. He was Grandpa Benjamin's overseer and because Grandma Sarah was unset with her father for remarrying she married Elijah. In the 1840 cencus there were in Benton Co., Arkansas. Deed records show that he sold his land to George Gambill on 9 Oct 1837 and the family moved from Tennessee to Benton Co., Arkansas. Elijah died of pneumonia some short time after they arrive in Arkansas. According to Grandpa Yarberry he saids his father's name was John Yarberry. Uncle Thomas and Uncle Milton dad was John Carter. But they took the name Yarberry because Grandma never married John. No married Lisence has been found for Grandma Sarah and Grandpa Yarberry.

My great-grandfather was Silas Francis Yarberry. He is buried in the veterans cemetery in Monte Vista, Colorado because he was in the Civil War and met Abraham Lincoln. He died in Denver Colorado at the home of my grandmother Lillian May Yarberry Fletcher. Mary Ann died in Denver in Jan. 1908. If you would like some more information I would be happy to help you.

Do you know anything about his father?

This seems to be about as far back as I've been able to find any records. There is nothing firm that I've been able to find... he may have been from Tennessee, and has been referred to as Elijah, Elizer, John and WIlliam -- all in various places, but nothing absolute or concrete. He was married to Sarah "Sally" Gambill... he was her second husband.

I don't know if any of this helps, but it would be interesting to discover...

Wow. Silas Francis is my gr gr gr grandfather. My gr gr grandmother is his daughter Alice Yarberry Shipley and gr grandfather is Cad Wesley Shipley. Alice's mother was Mary Ann Lively. Do you have the book A Branch of the Yarberry Tree? It is awesome. It is out of print so a rare find. Losts of great information.
