I,m looking for any information about a great,great,great grandfather of mine. I believe he was from Kayl or Capellen Luxembourg and migrat to the US. His wifes name was Mary Laux.
I believe they were born around 1800 - 1825. They had a son name John who was born in Kayl on 5 Sept. 1849. If you can help I would appreciate it.

Here is John (Jean)'s birth record. Generally they give the parents' ages.
Have you looked at the LDS website?

Shows mother's name is Marguerite

You're welcome. You might have found the name John in some records as Johannes. The following website might help with the names.
