im looking for relatives and parents of cornelius vogle and the maiden name of his wife,Jana. Also,looking for the parents of Josephine Vogel (married name-Snyder-Peter C)if possibly the maiden name of her mother.

There are at least TWO Cornelius Vogel's in Whiteside County. One age 44, in Fulton with wife Katie and family; and one, age 45 with wife Jana in Union Grove Twp. in the 1900 census. Since you gave the wife as Jana, yours appears to be the one in Union Grove Twp.

By the way, FOUR of the Vogel families in the 1900 census had daughters named Jennie...one has to be careful about getting the RIGHT family!

The family did NOT appear in the 1880 census, so apparently married in Holland where the oldest child was born, and moved to Whiteside in the 1880-1883 time frame before Jennie was born. Josia may be your Josephine...would need more information to confirm.

This is Diana (using my daughter's email) Hanson-Muir. Haven't thought of you in ages! I'm trying to work on David Kraft's genealogy from Fulton and ran into Alice Zeeryp and Jacob Vogel, married 2 Sep 1899 in Whiteside County. They have both died and are buried in Fulton, (but of course might have died in Clinton in the hospital). Any hopes of getting death certificates out of Morrison?

I live in Atlanta now so I don't have access. Would give anything for a live body to do a little research for some deaths and marriages in Clinton or Morrison.

Kornelis Vogel (which was his Dutch name) married Janna Zaagman May 19th, 1875 in Warffum, The Netherlands. He was born in Warffum to Hendrik Cornelis Vogel and Anna Pieters Groendijk; Parents of Janna (born in Warffum as well) are named as Klaas Jans Zaagman and Jantje Jans Vogel.
Kornelis is 21 yrs old en Janna 22 yrs old at the time of the wedding.

Hendrik Cornelis Vogel married Anna Pieters Groendijk march, 3rd, 1848 in Warffum, The Netherlands. He was 32 yrs of age and a widower to Anje Hans Bere, she was 29 yrs of age and a widow to Jan Nicolaas Vogel.
