KNOWLES PASSES
AWAY AT THE HOSPITAL
EARLY TUESDAY
Mrs. Diantha
KNOWLES, aged 94 years, died Tuesday morning at 3:30 o'clock, of old age at the city hospital where she had been removed a short time ago, owing to the illness of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Leonard. Mrs. Knowles sustained a fractured hip seven years ago and never recovered from the effects of the injury.
Mrs. Knowles was born in
New York state in 1815 and had lived in this city forty or fifty years. She was the oldest member of the Church of
Christ here and also the oldest member of the W. R. C. in Painesville.
Besides Mrs. Leonard, a son, F. H. Knowles of Youngstown survives. The funeral service will be held from the Church of
Christ at 2 p.m. Thursday.

FUNERAL SERVICES
FOR MRS. D. KNOWLES
The funeral services for Mrs. Diantha
KNOWLES were held Thursday afternoon from the Church of
Christ and were largely attended by old friends and relatives. The services were conducted by Rev. S. H. Bartlett and music was furnished by Mrs. S. H. Bartlett and Miss
Millie King. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery and the bearers were: Messrs. H. S. Grover, C. E. Molyneux, E. A. Callender and D. F. Leonard. Many flowers from friends and neighbors were noticed and tributes were also sent by the W. R. C., P. F. D., ladies of the Church of
Christ, K. of P. lodge and the W. C. T. U.
