Busco información...de mi antepasado...mi abuelo era de un lugar llamado (según me tradujeron, una foto que tengo)...JREIBE CHUFF LIBANO...según mis datos llegó con su hermano el 22 de mayo de 1924 a Bs. As.....me contó mi padre que mi abuelo dejó familia ahí, padres y más hermanos...Según parece al ingresar al país (Argentina)le cambiaron el apellido ...LOSCAR por ALASHKAR ó AL ASHKAR..espero pronta respuesta...gracias.

Mis padres grandes, Khalil Ashkar y su esposa Wilhemina Simon eran ambos nacido en Broumanna, Lebanon. Ellos
vinieron a los Estados Unidos en 1906. ¿Sabe usted donde sus antepasados nacían?

MY GRANDFATHER NAME WAS GEORGE ACHKAR. HE WAS FROM BEJI. HE CAME TO OHIO AROUND 1920'S IM LOOKING FOR FAMILY OF MY GRANDFATHERS HE CHANGED OUR LAST NAME TO FARRIS WHEN HE GOT OFF THE BOAT.

came to USA in 1906.
He and his brother Amine
had a family friend which
I heard of. The friend
was Farris (Ferris) Batroni. Could there
be any connection?

I am searching for roots of my grandfather Isac Lascar born in Dobrudgea county which belonged to Turkey until 1877 when it was annexed to Romania. If you have any connection please let me know.

We are not sure of our grandfathers real surname, the nly one thing we now is that they came to Argentina in the '20 decade and that their real surname was changed to Loscar, real one could be Ashkar or Alashkar or maybe Achkar.
Do you have any more information? They came fron Lebanon leaving there family.

HI MY GRANDFATHERS LAST NAME WAS ACHKAR CAME FROM THE OLD COUNTRY AND GOT IN A AGUREMENT WITH HIS BROTHER THEY BOTH CHANGED THERE NAMES (OURS WAS FARRIS) HIS BROTHER WAS SOMETHING ELSE. MY GRANDFATHERS NAME WAS GEORGE AND YOURS IS WHAT?

Our grandfather was from Lebanon, he and his brother came to Argentina in 1925 approximatly, do you if your father left brothers in Lebannon? do you have any information about names? Their names could be changed too when they entered to Argentina, here his name is Salmen...or it could be Suleyman, if they changed it.

My great-grandfather came over around 1906 going by the name of Farris Gus Farris and settled in WV. Any info would be helpful.
