Hi David,
My Paterson's lived in Glasgow.Tracing descendants of William Paterson, and Jean Crooks; William's Mother was a Lamont, he died about 1946, she died July 17,1996.
None of the family have resided here in Canada as far as I know.

Hullo Muriel, would I be right in assuming there are no Fife connections for Paterson? The thing is, I can only relate directly to Fifers at this time, although I feel sure there are more in the woodwork trying to get out. Certainly I know of no Lamonts in my lot but next week? Who knows eh?

Hi, I have a lage family Bible belonging to the Crooks family Glasgow.....
The Bible hold records of Births marriages and Deaths of a whole family of Crooks starting in mid 1800s and ending in 1940s...
The Bible also contains a lock of hair presumably from one of the children....
There is also a records of wheee the familly members are buried.......
Please contact me if any of this is pertaining to your research....I am not looking for payment for the Bible....I do family research myself and would just love someone to have this type of record and this well used Bible returned to my family......Hope to hear from you soon.with details of your Crooks in the hope that the Bible may belong to your connections.....

I am from Saltcoats ,i also have a Murdoch connection My Grandmother's 1st brother James Seggie married Christina Murdoch, she was born around 1880 Wishaw,Lanarkshire. They married Jan 19th 1901 Glasgow thy had 5 children.Is this a connection to your search.
