I thought that it would be a good idea to tell a little bit of information about my family. We were seperated in the 1950,s . My father and mother put us in the care of the children,s aid society in the town of Port Hope Ontario. There were seven in the family. I have no idea where any of my family members were placed. I know one sister was in the town of Windsor, Ontario. My father,s mother was Margret Lachapelle who later married a Henderson, she has since passed away. My father died in British Columbia in 1989.My mother passed away in Toronto in April of 1970. Her resting place is in Prospect Cemetry, on north St. Clair, Toronto. I have a Margret LaChapelle in my family but have no record of whom she married.

She was born March 7, 1853 in Newmarket, Ontario and died June 1, 1921. Her parents were Edward and Margret Proulx LaChapelle.She had 13 siblings. If you think you are connected let me know. Have a lot of LaChapelle's in Ontario as my mother was a LaChapelle.

Don't know if there is a connection but I am researching Amelia (Mary) Lachapelle born Feb. 9, 1852 in New Market. I believe her father's name was Frank or Francis Lachapelle, Mother was Ann (Mary) Akey.

Amelia also went by the name of Mary E. Chappelle Bell, and Shapell. She was married to James K. Bell. If you would like more info on the whole family, just let me know.

I was wondering if you could provide more information on Amelia Bell and her husbands family parents and siblings. I have her birthdate as Feb 9, 1852. I also have found her using the last name LaChapelle.
