I am a direct descendant of Zachariah and Martha Blackledge and have the following information on Arther Blackledge: Arther Blackledge born Mar 5, 1864 MS, son of Daniel H. Blackledge and Matilda Landrum, Died Oct 22, 1937 and is buried in Mill Creek Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Blackledge born 1870, daughter of Richard F. Blackledge and Barthena Overstreet. She died in 1955 and is also buried in Mill Creek Cemetery.

I read your post with great interest. Arter and Lizzie Blackledge's daughter, Maudie, was my grandmother. It was a long time ago but I remember Aunt Mattie. She was one of my grandmother's sistrs.

I am trying to find out more info on Barthina(Overstreet) Blackledge. She is the one that supposed to connect my families togeather. But I can not find who her parents are.

Artie was my gg grandfather. His son Richard France married Pinkie Holifield (my g grandparents. There daughter Lela married Albert Estus Chandler my grandparents.

Sorry I have not been looking lately. My husband and myself
have been sick latley and just have not had the time to look
but, I have a family tree on ancestry.com I am stuck on that
side where so older family members have given info. Just not sure about it. I can't find any proof of any marriage
of Elizabeth E. Blackledge. I have a copy of her headstone
that has her as Elizabeth E. Gaskins. Supposed to be in Mill Creek Cem. In Mississippi.
