Guillelmus, sometimes appears as Elmus or July Elmus, WIGGINS born 1846 in Natchitoches Parish, LA and married Julia E. CHEATHAM 20 Jan 1875 in Avoyelles Parish, LA. He lived in Natchitoches, Avoyelles and Catahoula Parishes with his parents, John Washington WIGGINS and Frances Jane COLLUM and later, step-father, John Pamplin ELAM.
In 1919, his son Robert WIGGINS made a statement or affidavit of ownership of land by his father. He showed Elmus WIGGINS owned sometime during his life, two plantations in Concordia Parish, LA known as Glen and Alexander.
Does anyone know the location of these post-Civil War plantations ?
Their size in acreage ?
When and from whom WIGGINS acquired their ownership ?
I know of only 3 children: Emily F., Olive and Robert born 1876-1881.
Who did they marry ? Where did they rear their families ?
