My father, Raúl Sánchez del Rio, had a cousin with this same last name Cazimajou. I don't know where she was originally from, but my father was from Cárdenas, Matánzas. I know that he had cousins that lived in Pedro Betancourt, Matánzas as well. Maybe she's from there?

I don't think so, yet I know so very little to nothing about the Cazimajou family that I can't say for sure. The Cazimajou relation comes through my father Raul Sanchez del Rio and not throught the my mother Lilia Reyes. Do you know it Ernestina was from Cardenas, Matanzas?

I`m Carlos Cazimajou grand son, he was brother of Andres and Alejo Cazimajou. They fougth in Cuba`s Independence war .

As a child in the early to mid 50s I remember sitting in El Parque Colon in Cardenas to listen to war stories from Comandante Cazimajou. He was a kind old gentleman with a missing hand lost during the war. He always wore his medals.
