The Shoenberg and Reckange-sur-Mess films both start at 1756 and yet, the web site:

contains Schoenberg records back to 1630. Does this mean that there are also Reckange-sur-Mess records older than 1756? If so, how may I see them?

Jes there are records older than 1756. In 1561 the fireplaces (that means: the houses) were counted.
The name: Arandts (Arandtz,Arants) = Arens was indicated in
Village: Reckange/Mess, Schouweiler, Consdorf and Mersch.
My ancestors et y lived in Reckange/Mess and the house near
to ours was called in Arends
