My 4GGM Jean MOWAT married Peter DOULL 24 Aug 1793 in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland. WItnesses were Mr James MOWAT Merchant & Mr Patrick THOMSON Thurso.

I have six children for Peter DOULL & Jean MOWAT:

3. Anne DOULL b 14 Apr 1806 c 25 Jul 1806 Thurso, married John BANKS 23 Dec 1825 Wick, d 20 Jun 1857 Wick
4. George DOULL c 18 Apr 1808 Wick
5. Janet DOULL c 18 Apr 1808 Wick
6. John DOULL c 23 Jul 1809 Wick

Jean MOWAT was deceased at the time of her daughter's, Anne DOULL's death 20 Jun 1857.

Hi,

I've got hand-engraved whiskey goblet presented to either my ggf or gf (both were John Scott and both railway engineers)by a William Mowat - inscribed (amongst other inscriptions and fishing, railway and hare-coursing scenes) "Gift of Friends - Thurso, 1877". Probably related to the merchant in the earlier post.
