Hello and HAppy New Year....
My families listed above are also from Wotton. If anyone is related I would love to hear from you. I have been to Wotton a few times and it is a very small town with nice scenery. The cemetery is to the left of the church and easily accessible.. From what I understand in Canadian culture, after 50 to 75 years they will take the stone down and rebury someone else in the spot unless someone continues to pay for the services.. I have some relatives that are buried there that cannot be found, though they are in the church registers... There are 2 books about Wotton, one is a very old one, in french but well worth it if you can find it. and the other one is the one that has been mentioned.. I am still trying to find the lot that my Naults ownes, I have the lot numbers, but have not been able to figure out how to find it in the town. Well hope to hear from some relatives, and by the way the Duplins are related to us also...
Until later
Diane

Diane, my paternal grandparents were living in Wotton when their children were born. JOSEPH DUCHARME+JULIE CHAGNON dite LAROSE were well known in the community during the 1890's. Many relatives still live in the area & elsewhere in Wolfe County. If you're interested, to check out the DUCHARME albums on our Webshots site. You may recognize a face or a name:

Olivine Nault (1871-1959) married on October 9,1894 Oscar Duplin (1869-1956, [Oscar is was the brother of my great grandfather]. Their children were: Hormidas (1897) Aldea (1899) Edna (1901)Leo (1904) Simonne (1907) Valere (1908) Robert Raymond (1910) Olivette (1913) and Valarie (1915)
I hope that one of these is part of the family you are looking for. My Duplin family came from Wotton Quebec Canada around 1803 with Louis Duplin as far back as I can research. They were from St Pierre les Becquets. Let me know if we aer from the same line...thanks Barbara in SC
