Hi, I have been trying to find out if birth records of any kind, civil or Catholic church, exist for St. Lucia during the first half of the 19th century? If so, where? online? LDS microfilm (I can't find any)? Thanks! JJ

The Catholic churches in St. Lucia have baptismal records back to the early 1800s. The priest might assist you for a donation to the church.

You must go to the parish that they were from at the church. they keep a great record.but remember that they name they go by might be a nickname and it's good to actually go there yourself to look through the books.I did this in the Micoud parish where my family were registered and found that the names that they were raised with was different in the registry. Their real names are in the registry. Good Luck.
