My Hunsaker (Hunsucker, Hunsacker) ancestors were buried in Jonsboro, Union County, Illinois. I am trying to locate exactly which Cemetery. Burial dates range from 1812 to 1846. Any help in locating them would be appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, Steve Shults.

I have info from LDS source that indicates that a Caroll was a son of Abner HUNSAKER from Union Co. IL and from thence back to Abraham HUNSAKER from KY. There is a disparity in age from the information that I have on the census of 1880 in Dallas Co and that of the LDS info. The 1st showing an age of 60 and the 2nd showing a birth year of 1832. All children shown in the family show a birth state of TX and ages indicate they were born as early as 1866. A 2nd mrg. is indicated in the census info for both the father and the mother. JimBO

Your Audrey Sloss Kehl, who married Emma Ruth Caraker who was born in Union County, is in my Kehl family that i have been researching for 30 yrs. The family comes from Storndorf, Germany...a tiny farming village in Hesse-Darmstadt, Kreis Alsfeld area. Johann Heinrich Kehl b. abt 1776 and four of his children Andreas, Anna Marie, Margaretha, and Adam came to the USA abt 1854 and ended up in the Nortonville, Illinois area, Morgan County. I am decended from Andreas and your Audrey Sloss Kehl from Adam.

I don't know if this is the same Caraker book which is mentioned by Lori Covert, but I also have a book dealing with the Caraker family, titled Carriker Karriker families by John C. Karriker of North Carolina. These families are all related! My biggest puzzle to date is: My gggrandfather was Matthias Caraker, son of Jacob Karcher and Jane Meisenheimer. They moved to Union County, IL when he was about 3 yrs. old. He later bought some property there, and then sold it to Winstead Davie when he moved to Texas. He married Susan Elizabeth Lemley in Navarro County, Texas in 1854 (his brother also married a Lemley). But I haven't figured out where or when he died? Can anyone help me?
