Does anyone know the name of the unmarked cemetery located on Route 29, just inside the Henry Sign, in Henry, Marshall County, Illinois?

There is a cement brick wall around it.

There are Hoyt's buried there and

Robert V. Howard, died 1-19-1819.

Thanks

There is a genealogical survey of Illinois which lists it as the Hoyt aka Old Henry Cemetery. There is a City of Henry Historical and Genealogical Society listed on Main Street. Good Luck.

Over the years I have never received any reply to Genforum queries, the Genweb site, Lacon Library or Marshall County Courthouse, I even tried to hire one of two researchers listed on the old genweb site. I never received an answer from anyone. I even submitted information on the Civil War soldiers from Marshall County and never got an answer.

There was a woman named Piper who posted a lot of Marshall County information on her website. The Marshall County genweb told everyone to contact her and provided a link to it. That's gone now too. The old genweb site had outdated information on meetings etc several years old with no updates.

Have you ever tried contacted the Marshall County Historical Society, IL? I recently contacted them for some information on different families from Marshall Co. For a donation, they have a volunteer that will do some research of their records.
They helped me learn who my ggg grandparents were on one branch of my family. The volunteer is only their, I think, 1 day/wk. so be patient.

Good luck on your research.

Susan from Kansas
