Trying to find info about any Cherokee or other Native American heritage and the NIPPER name. My g-g-g-grandmother was said to have been Cherokee; her name *may* have been Elizabeth NIPPER. Any info? Please e-mail
sheltielove@prodigy.net
. Thanks!

Hi Sandra,
I would love to hear more. Where were your Cherokee NIPPER relatives from? The g-g-g- grandmother I am searching for info about lived in White or Cleburne County, Arkansas around the mid 1800's. My g-g-grandfather was born about 1852, so his mother probably was born around 1830-1834.

Hi! I really don't know much about my greatgrandmother other then her name Katy Lillian Koonces, married to Harmon Nipper, had 4 children and one of them was my grandfather Robert Nipper.
He was born in Kansas. My g-grandmother died at a very early age. My g-grandfather remarried and the second wife raised the children. I'm suppose to get some more information sent to me from 2 second cousins in Oklahoma.
I'm not sure of any of the dates other than the 1800's

I will certainly let you know when I find out more information.
Where are you from? I'm living in Modesto, CA. I did find out that alot of NIpper's from this line are somewhere in Organ. I found out that my greatgrandfather had a brother named Grant Nipper.

Sandy, thanks for keeping me informed of any info you find out. :-)
To answer your question, I am in Little Rock, AR. My relative who may have been named Nipper lived in White/Cleburne County, Arkansas in the mid 1800's. I am not certain that her maiden name was Nipper, but some info from other family lines has indicated that.

I have found out that one of my grandfathers brother moved to Organ and never returned to Oklahoma. His name was Grant Nipper.
I was told that I have alot of Nippers on that side living in Organ. As soon as I find them I'll let you know what I have gathered.
I have a friend working on her gen. Her name is Yvonne Jeffer. I think she has found many relatives that live in your area.
Sandy

My mother was a Nipper - Essie Sue. Her father was Theo Nipper and he married Katie Barron. My mother grew up in Marmeduke, Arkansas. She always told me there was Indian in their blood line...don't know if it is Cherokee or not though.
