My name is Cathy Ellis, and my Great Grandmother was Sarah Hindle. Sarah married Tom Ellis and they had Norman Ellis who was my Grandfather. I was wondering if you could help me with my search. If you know why Sarah's birth is listed as about 1860, and not known for sure and if she was adopted or raised by the hindle family. Was she born in Manitoulin Island or somewhere else. My dad, his sister and brother all look somewhat native and it would be interesting to know if we have native blood in the family. Hello, Sarah Hindle married Stephen Dunsmore, 1st husband in Huron County, Ontario, Canada. Stephen and Sarah had one child, Ida May Dusmore. Stephen died I think 1893, killed by lightening. Sarah Hindle's first husband was stephen dunsmore. 2nd husband t. ellis. Sarah's first & only child with Stephen Dunsmore was Ida May Dunsmore. Stephen Dunsmore struck by lightening and killed in Paisley, Huron County, Ontario Canada. Ida May is my husband's grandmother. Sarah, daughter of Faith Collins remarries to thomas ellis.
