One source has indicated that my Thompson line may have resided in "Beach Hill" before arriving in the Sackville Area in the 1830's. I have only found a "Beach Hill" referenced as Somerset, Annopolis County Nova Scotia. Is there another Beach Hill in Westmoreland County?

Hi Bob! There is a Beech Hill south of Moncton, near Hillsborough. I think it's in Albert County, but not far from Sackville as the crow flies.

I've discovered that there was a small community known as Beech Hill, in the Upper Sackville area. Beech Hill park is still there. Cooks, Estabrooks and Richardsons were among the families living in the area.

The Beech Hill you are looking for is very close to Sackville, just north of Upper Sackville. The name is not used any more except for Beech Hill Park on #1 highway, but I've found a number of Cooks, Estabooks and other local families listed there in old records.

Also Ogdens.

I have abt 20 Ogdens in the Sackville area but know nothing about the family. Do you?

Robert Henry Ogden married Laura Cogell. They had Laura Lillian who was my grandmother. I remember being shown Beech Hill as we drove by by don't remember if we actually went there. I should say the area where it was located. I will e-mail further info on my family if you want it. Some info is already on this site.

The area is still referred to by the locals as Beech Hill. It is on the outskirts of Town of Sackville, Westmorland Co. N. B.
