I don't knwo if thsi may be of any help, but I have a relative named Freda Khoury from a town called Sodi in the southern part of Syria. I am trying to get more information about the town and my family, and will let you knwo what I find. Good luck!

I have Atiyeh and Koury in my family. They came from Syria. My Grandmother's grandfather was Elias Atiyeh. He married Foteen Haddad. They had a daughter Sarah Elias Atiyeh who married Abdullah Isaac Raad. Their daughter (my grandmother) was Emily Raad who married James Solomon Koury. It was James and Emily that immigrated to Pennsylvania.
