Hello friends! My name is Adele Quattrociocchi and I write from Italy, in particular from Alatri, one city close Veroli in province of Frosinone. They are little distant from Rome, only 90 kilometres. I have uncovered that all the persons who have the last name "Quattrociocchi" have origin from Veroli and most of all from one zone of Veroli called Saint Francesca. Also I am trying a my relative. He was born in America, but I don't know where. His father came in America from Veroli where he had a brother that was priest in Veroli. He enlisted itself in american aviation and became pilot. During the second world war while he was in a flight in mission, he saved from a strafing my country Alatri. I would want to find him or its relatives. Someone has news in purpose?...you excuse me for my American...

Hello, http://www.quattry.com/Quattrociocchi.htmlI noticed you have the same last name as our family and it is such an unusual name I figure we have to be related. I have put up a little family tree on my business web site. Please let me know if there is any relation. Our last name was changed when all of the uncles when into the military during WWII because nobody could pronounce it. Steve Quattry

Your message was left several years ago and I hope you receive this reply.
My family is also Quattrociocchi from Veroli, Italy. My Nonna's family was Quattrociocchi - her father was Michael Quattrociocchi born 1877 in Veroli. He worked for Orsini Construction. He married Angelina Tamburini and they had 6 kids. Philomena, Claudia (my nonna), Alfred, Giulia, Mary and Luigi.
I won't write anymore until I know you receive this.

Dear Adele, My name is Laura Whitney. My grandfather, Domenico Pagliaroli, was born in Isola di Liris (not sure of spelling?) in 1887. I remember my grandfather talking about a priest, Father Quattrociocchi, with great respect. Grampy said it was Father Quattrociocchi who made his immigration to the United States possible. I don't know the details, but probably he helped with money and filling out papers, since my grandfather could not read or write very well. I think my grandfather's mother's name was Angeline, and he had between 10 and 15 brothers and sisters. He was the oldest. Grampy remembers having a donkey when he was 9 years old, and loading bits of wood on the donkey to take down the hills to the paper mill on the Isola. Grampy also had a favorite little sister, Virginia, who later became a nun by the name of Suora Natalina. She worked as a nurse in the Military Hospital of Roma. 65 years after he said goodbye to her, I went to Italy at the age of 15 years and found her, and many other relatives. She was so sweet. If you know of any history of the Pagliaroli family on Isola di Liris, perhaps you could let me know. Good luck on your family search. Best Regards, Laura Whitney

Ms. Whitney,
I cannot help you with your family history except to tell you that the correct name of your ancestral town is Isola del Liri.
