Help!!!
My great great grandfather lists his occupation as patentee in around 1890's. I would love to find out what he patented in the UK

Would appreciate any advice or tips on researching this

That's an unusual occupation. Where did you see this? If on a census, could you please give the reference for it.

Where in the UK did your ancestry reside?

Thanks for the link but already tried that one. The chap is listed as patentee as his occupation on his daughters marriage certificate. It definitely makes sense as the family suddenly move up market regarding their home around the same time.

Seems to be a tricky one to solve
