I am looking for any information on John P. ROACH, born in Cumberland County, Kentucky in 1843, and died in McCullock, Texas in 1907 and also information on his wife, Sarah Jane SPEAR, born ~1838 also in Cumberland County, Kentucky to William H. SPEAR and Elizabeth KEEN.

I am also interested in information on Catheleen COOP who was married to James ROACH (son of John P. ROACH) born June 1, 1870. I am willing to share information with swap of yours. Catheleen COOP's father, I believe, was "Ab" COOP.

I am looking for family of Andrew SPEER of Surry County, North Carolina, Lee and Scott County, Virginia, Somerset County, Maryland, Oldham, Shelby, Jefferson, Cumberland, Casey, and Henry Counties in Kentucky.

My great-great-great grandfather was William Buck ROACH who claimed to be an orphan. He also claimed to have had a brother named James. He was born in Orange County, North Carolina around February 6, 1806. Any connection?

My grandmother was a Spears, she was Martile Spears who married Elam Thurman, her parents are Ezra Spears and Mary Ann Scott. In reply to your March 1998 request. I married Larry Roach and we have been working on that line as well as others (one of which is also Spears on my side). . .not very far with that one yet. We live in Celina, TN, which is in a neighboring county to Cumberland Co, KY. You may already have all of this but here is what we have. We have Elijah Roach as half brother to John P., James Gabriel(our line), R. Logan, N.A., Louisa, Helen, and Thomas (mother to these is Sarah F. Unknown; whole siblings to John P. are William G., Joshua, Theo?, and Lucy (mother is unknown). I have 11 children under John P. marriage date 8-7-1863. I have some ancestors of Sarah also, let me know how far back you have.

We are looking for a connection with Sarah Jane Spear and Andrew Spear b. 1640 in Ireland or Shadrack Spear b.1767. Hope this helps and hope to hear from you soon.
