My name is Earlene Johnson and I live in Baton Rouge, LA. My Great-grandmother's name was Matilda Dunbar and was born on a Plantation in Mississippi. I was trying to find out if there is any family out there.

Do you have any other info on your G grandmother Matilda Dunbar, is this her maiden name or married name,
year born, husbands name, children?
Have you checked census records for her, etc.?
Since you posted on a Louisiana list I'm assuming her family moved to LA.?

Dunbar was her maiden name. Her husband's name was Alex Carter. I have not looked into the census records and she was born on a plantation. She lived in St. Francisville Louisiana. I will see what I can find on census.
