Need information and help

My father Edward Allen Borden was a mechanic with the Canadian Forestry Corps in WW2 with the rank of Lance Corporal. He married my mother Agnes Paterson Livie who was a clerkess with the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS). They were married on June 16 1943 at North Merchiston Church in Edinburgh Scotland.
I am trying to find out the dates that my mother and father returned to Canada - I don't know what the procedure was for that - did they have to pay their own way or did the military provide transportation for them? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Just wild guess - that the military would pay for the return of the service person - back to their home country.
Do you have your fathers service papers etc.
Many women came over as Canadian War Brides -

The information is in the War Brides link that Stella provided above. The Department of National Defense arranged and paid for transportation from Aug 1944:

If your father has been deceased 20 years or more you can order his service records (they're free) by providing proof of death - a death certificate, photo of his headstone or obituary.

His service records will tell you exactly when he returned to Canada. There will also be an address for next-of-kin so you can see if his wife remained in the UK until the end of his service.

I have two distant relatives who were with the Forestry Corps and they both had Scottish war brides too.
