Looking for titles of Apache Co. books that include early LDS (Mormon) history of Concho, St. Johns, Omer, Springerville areas. I have "A History of the St. Johns AZ Stake" and "Old Concho" by Pauline Baca.
In the book "Concho, The Enchanted Pearl", there is a map of Erastus that includes a direction arrow to "the Mormon Cemetery" - does anyone have information on this cemetery?

I don't have a lot of information on the Erastus Cemetery but know where it is. Lived in Old Concho and grew up there. As a young child used to ride horses all over there have some pictures of the cemetery if you'd like copies. I also would like to find some information on the cemetery.

I'd love pictures of the Erastus cemetery as some of the babies of my great-grandparents are buried there. Probably no headstones are in existance but I'd still like pictures. Please e-mail me at my private e-mail.

I'm also greatly interested in Concho as some of my Mormon ancestors also settled there and would like pictures - if possible - to go with their histories.
Thanks
Marti

My parents canvassed Erastus Cemetery many years ago, but I see Tom Todd has canvassed it, and downloaded the information to
www.findagrave.com
. I only live about 35 miles from there, so let me know if I can help with anything.

Thanks Karen for responding. I know there are more buried in the cemetery, and I'm almost sure that some of my early Martineau relatives are buried there also. Unfortunately, there are no records but when a child died in Erastus, you'd expect him/her to be buried there as well.

No problem. Good luck with your research. Arizona has birth (1855-1933) and death (1844-1958)certificates online. The early deaths mostly have only name and death date on them. The website address is:
http://genealogy.az.gov
They may be of some help to you.
