I am looking for an obit for Leonard Farr he was adopted by my grandmothers sister and husband. His adopted parents would have been Herbert and Maude Pierce. I do not have a day but he died in Nov. of 1981. I do appreciate any and all help you can assist with I am in Oregon and willing to exchange help if needed here in Oregon. Thank you.

TJ, Thank you would it be possible to put my obit request on a list? What you sent me only brought about more questions. According to the census he was an adopted child of my great aunts. I am in hopes that I can find the answers to some of my past by finding family or members who knew of my mid west family. Thank you again for what you were able to provide me with I do appreciate your help and effort. Richard Crist USAF Retired

Hi Richard,

I read over some of your posts. Did you get info on the Farr family? Leonard had a number of siblings. If you need help with trying to track down some of your Farr relatives in MN, post an email address on here and I will try to help you. I won't post living people on a board but I will email it to you. You could make up a hotmail address just for this so your regular email doesn't get spammed.

Thank you for your offer! I am at this time not sure how far one takes an adopted child? Lenoard Farr was the adopted son of my great Aunt and her husband. I am not really sure now if they ever actually adopted him.. I was in hopes to find an obit on him to see if it listed any of the children of my Great Aunt children... Would you pursue an adopted child in your research? I am still new to a lot of this, I figured if he was living with them then I should consider him family. My wife has and adopted child and we love her as our own. Again my question is when it genealogy realated how far or do you included that person if so how far back do you go? So many questions.. If in your opinion I should carry it past is death or prior to his death then I am game!, and would gladly appreciate your help. I have set up a gmail accout especilly for this becasue I did not want my actualy email exposed to a lot of junk.. So please feel free to contact me there. dickusaf@gmail.com Thank you for your response look forward to hearing back from you and getting your opinion! Richard
