I am researching my family unable to find a record of my grandmother Janet Livingstone often called Jean or Jenny she was born in 1882 immigrated to canada died in 1954 buried in Ontario. She was married to William Johnson Murdoch. Any help or hints would be appreciated.

Just thought I would touch base as I am also looking for a Janet Livingstone. From I think Rothesay Scotland. She went be the name of Jessie died in Ontario in 1944 10 years different and I have mine married to a William Boulton. Also rumored to be a distant cousin of Dr. Livingstone I am waiting on the death certificate to see if I have the parents. Was told they were Duncan Livingstone and Sarha MacFarland. My Janet would have had one sister but I don't have name or anything on her just that in 1938 her neice and nephew visited in Scotland

You and I are related!!! I decend from Janet's sister Beatrice's line, she was my great grandmother.

I have lots of information on her family and I am also in contact with Janet's twin brothers family

As for the david Livingstone rumor that has been pasted down through My family as well. I have yet to prove its true. Interestingly Janet's Twin's Grandson whom I am in contact with has never heard this rumour.
