I've gone to the local FHC to see microfilms of the NYC directories from the early years of the 1900s. But I'm wondering if anyone anywhere has scanned these directories, so we can search for a particular address, instead of a name.
Does anyone have these directories digitized?
Thanks in advance.

I am also looking for the Manhattan, Ny city directory for the years l925 and l926. If you come upon a site that has that I would really appreciate you sharing it with me. I also would like to look at the address and surrounding addresses in the same building. Have a name but need to know who the neighbors were.
Thanks for any help. Does the FH center have the actual directories on film?

I know FHC has at least the 1925 NYC directory on microfilm - but I've not seen it online in a database that can be searched.

Footnote.com has the Manhattan directories from 1786 to 1922. Brooklyn is covered from 1862 to 1913.
I have typed in addresses in their keyword search feature and it has come up with the names of people who were living there.
Your State library may offer free home access to Footnote.
