i am looking for any relation to charles hurtado or charles oregon from lander area. charlie hurtado was adopted by the hurtado's ; was bornin 1912. his father was charles oregon - mother was alice painter? his mother died shortly after he was born. one of his hurtado family members was delfine. i am trying to find out more about his real family.

Your Grandmother, Was Alice Victoria ( Daniels ) Oregon. Born Iowa.
She rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander, Fremont County, Wyoming. It could be that we are related for or Grandfolk's were good Friends, They are John Wesley Painter and Lucy A. ( Walker ) Painter. Their is quite a twilight zone in Fremont County. John Wesley was the Pioneer Barber in Lander and Him and your Grandfather Charles Oregon Played Music together. God Bless you and yours. i knew a charlie hurtado part indian old man in the seventys and early eighties, live right up the road from me in a tribal homesite moved to sheridan wy i think in 79 -81 i now live on that tribalhomesite but charlies house burned down in late ninties was married to a woman with kids naemed tomisich one named mike tomisich dont remember if that spelled right

yes in seventies the charlie hurtado lived on a tribal homesite in ethete wy he turned in over,and sold his trailor houses to john oldman who in the late nintiessold them to another guy who sold them to me, so i live where charlie used to live, i dont know if we are talking about the same guy because i dont remember a daughter, step son mike was my good friend until they moved. the trailers burned down right after i buoght them and his old auto repair garage was tore down by someone

hi ken, yes we are talking about the same charlie. i was 7 when we moved away from there. mike lives in florida now and is a detective. i would like to come and see the old place some time. i visit the kniffens quite a bit.

Hi Christy - I am Leslie Meyer - great granddaughter of Charley and Alice Oregon. My grandmother was their daughter Jessie Aragon. She married Amos Dillon and moved to the Tacoma area in Washington State. Her son, Victor Dillon, was my father. I was adopted at birth. I met Victor in 1998.
