My grandmother's name was Ellen Barron. She was born in the Glen of Aherlow Co. Tipperary
1877. She emigrated to NY in the 1890's with some of her brothers and sisters. It was a large family. She returned to Ireland about 1900 and settled in Dublin. Any info regarding the members of her family who remained in America

Daniel had a very large family who followed him to America after 1860. We have never known the 15 sibblings names, but are searching Ireland. Heard 2 sisters settled in NY and your dates sound correct. Daniel my GG Grandfather settled in Missouri and raised 13 children. kcdecor@kcnet.com

Second reply = Still curious. Do you know Ellen Barron's parents names?? Do you have names of any of her sibblings? Did she marry here in US? Must have. Do you have any records from Ireland on the family. Daniel Louis Barron, my G grandfather had a large family also and lived in Mo. the same time frame. His sisters lived in NY.

My Grandmother's parents were Patrick Barron and Frances Slattry.

Ellen Barron was the second youngest in the family - the 11th or possibly 12th child. I have been unable to locate a Daniel in the family. She returned to Ireland in c1905 and married in Dublin where she lived the rest of her life (died 1963). I think the names of her siblings who emigrated to America and remained there were Joanna, Margaret, Bridget, Annie, William, Michael, Thomas, and Elizabeth (Liza). I have no further information at the moment.

There was a Michael Barron in my husbands family. He was a blacksmith in the late 1800's and early 1900's. He died in the 1920's of a heart attack while he was at work. He worked for the railroad. He was married to Nora Finn. They had two children. Jane Barron born in Dublin 1907, and Jack born arround 1903.Maybe they are the same family.
