I am looking for some death information for a little boy who died in the late 1930's or early 40's possibly in the Salem or Portland area. His name was Alexander Gomez or last name of Anderson. Mom's maiden name was Anderson and she was a single person but I do know the father's name was Gomez. He was born in 1933

There's only one entry in the Oregon Death Index which fits your description:

Alexander ANDERSON, died in Multnomah county, 24 June 1938.

He might (or might not) be the Alexander ANDERSON buried in Multnomah Park Cemetery known to findagrave.com

I can give you what is evidently the funeral notice for the Alexander Anderson noted by kentasm. From the Oregonian newspaper, printed on page 13 of the June 25, 1938, issue: http://i43.tinypic.com/167tgdx.png

I have a picture of him when he was approximately 2-3 years old and it says Coffey Studios. Kelso, Salem and Portland on it. So my thinking was that mom and him were in Oregon until the time of his death. Is there any way to check what this Alexander's age was? Thanks Peg

Do you have his mother's first name, in order to help in searching for a birth announcement? Or if the parents were together at the time of birth, the father's full name?

He was actually born in Minnesota to a Mabel Anderson Her middle name was Merlyne or Merlin used as the first name on the certificate. Father was unnamed on the certificate but was actually her sister's husband. Alex Gomez

I see there was an Alexander Frederick Anderson born in Wright County Minnesota in 1933 - is that the one you want? He may have used the name Fred or Frederick. Do you know any of the circumstances of his death? Did Mabel marry? That might help locate a newspaper article.

Yes that was the one. I know that he died from some kind of kidney disease and know he did not live to be a teenager for sure and not even sure he lived to be 10 years of age.

Just curious as to which records you were able to find the birth record for him. I have not been able to find it on Ancestry. Thank you Peg
