Surnames:
Does a passenger's name crossed off on the ship manifest mean they died at sea ? Referring to the SS Calabria, 22' jun 1906 list 39, Palermo to the port of NY. Passenger Rosario Malta, age 11.

Surnames:
No, it means he did not sail. You will find him sailing on the SS Perugia which arrived 30 August 1907.
