Thomas moved to Charlotte,NC then to Washington,DC married Sadie Bates had two
daughters, Beverly and Phyllis
Doll is a name I have heard in the family.
Sol also. Many teachers would not let family
members use the name with the h.(silent)

Thanks for the info. Interesting about the Whrenn/Wrenn et al. The Doll E. Wrenn I am looking for served in the army in 1943-44 in Indiana and Ohio. He was from one of the Carolina's. This could be the same family.

I don't have any info on a Dolly Wrenn, born 1898, but it seems feasible that she could have had a son named Doll Wrenn. He would have been born in the early 1920's. He is the name I was currently working on.

What year was he born in burlington and do you know who's his parents? My grandmother had a brother by that name.

My name is Herbert Whren of Washington, DC. Do you suppose you know my grandmother and grandfather? Jesse Whren and Gladys Whren? They both moved from Sumter and Charleston South Carolina to DC. My grandfather passed away, but my grandmother is still alive. I hear her mention the exact same names that are listed in some of the postings. My grandmother knows who Sol and Doll is.
