I'm the daughter of Herbert Wilfred Keyte, born 1916 (November 1st) in Warwickshire. He has two sisters, Hilda and Rose. His mother died when he was nine and his father remarried an Elizabeth who came from Stow-on-the Wold. My grandfather was originally Kyte and added the "e" to make our surname "Keyte". My grandfather would have died approximately 1954-6. Any one help?

I came across your messages which you posted a long time ago on Ancestry.com about your father Herbert Wilfred Keyte also his sisters Rose and Hilda and your grandfather William Stanley Kite.

I am researching my wife’s family tree and part of that is her sister Mary Clarina Smith who married Edward Arthur Millin in 1957 in Coventry. His mother was Rosie Dorothy Keyte (Father William Stanley Kite) who married Arthur James Millin in 1935 in Warwickshire.
My Brother-in-Law Edward Arthur Millin (now 76) cannot remember any of the Keyte (or Kite) family. But his wife Mary, my sister-in-law, can remember her mother in law (Rosie) and also being introduced to Rosie’s sister Hilda. She also remembers being introduced to a Wilfred or William Keyte who was a wing commander in the R.A.F.
Could you possibly pass on any information on your father and the wing commander.

If you do not already have the information on your grandfather William Stanley Keyte I can pass it on to you.

I am the daughter of Herbert Wilfred Keyte, younger brother of Rosie and Hilda. My e-mail address is SoniaTull@aol.com and I know very little about my grandfather. I did find the family on the 1911 census, months before Rosie was born. I gather there were also 2 other brothers in the family that died. My father's mother died when he was 9. Grandfather married again and 'lizzie died in 1960/1. Please let me know what you know.You will be surprised to know that my father lives off Newark Road in Lincoln!
