Hello Both of you!!

I just wanted to reply and tell you that I'm reseaching this line also.

I grew up in SW Washington. I have just started with some new tips!! I have JUST found out that my Great Grandpa and Grandma (I hope) where Mark Eastman and Lois Massingham.

They where in the town of Claquato Washington near today Chehalis.

To some records I just found today...they had four kids.

Nellie Eastman b 12-9-1909
2 twin boys (no info)
Mark O Eastman II b 2-2-1912 and died March 1964***I Hope is my grandfather!!!****

Nellie might of married a Newstead in Oregon. My mom said they might of ran a store in Oakridge Oregon. She also said that a daughter from Nellie and Mr. Newstead still might be alive today. She thought she lives on a coastal town??

I must be related to the Northwest Eastman's, but as of yesterday...I didn't know anybody passed my Grandfather!!

please email me jleastman4@attbi.com.

My mother Mary Ann Eastman was born in Portland in 1948. I had several great uncles living in the NW and in CA. They moved from the Eastman family farm in N.D.
The farm was acquired through the Homestead Act. Previous to that they were in Missouri, via ME & NH. I am looking for info prior to 1794, my 6th great gramps Hazen Eastman was born in Concord, NH and married Elizabeth J. Currier in ME.
My great-uncles, sons of Bartlett Stewart Eastman b. Aug 1887 d. May 1946 were (Portland) Russell Reid Eastman b. Mar 1923; (Seattle) Loren Emmett b. Apr 1920; (Moscow, ID) Chandler Lorenzo b. Apr 1913; (Sacramento) Arlo Nelson b. Feb 1917; (Los Angeles) Elwood Duane b. Aug 1915, d. June 1985.

I've just discovered this site, I hope this helps you.

Hi, I don't know anything about Eastmans in America, but just want to tell you I was born Judy Eastman in Cape Town, South Africa. So we're sort of duplicates!!
